Aciers martensitiques
Les aciers martensitiques comptent parmi les aciers à la résistance la plus élevée proposés aux constructeurs automobiles. Mais à l'inverse des aciers à ultra haute résistance (UHSS), ils offrent une bonne aptitude à la déformation même à des résistances extrêmement hautes. Ceci les rend donc particulièrement intéressants dans les applications anti-intrusion où ils contribuent à l’allègement tout en améliorant la sécurité.
